华中科技大学出版社成立于1980年，是中华人民共和国教育部直属的全国重点大学出版社、教育部理工科教材出版基地，是国内为数不多的同时拥有图书、音像、电子出版物、网络出版物出版权的综合出版社。

　　Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press was founded in 1980, which is an important university publishing directly administered by the Ministry of Education of the PRC and was a publishing base for science and engineering textbooks. It’s one of the national few comprehensive publishing presses with publishing entitlement for books, audio-visual products, E-journals and network publications.

　　华中科技大学出版社建筑分社起步于2005年，专业从事土建类图书的出版发行工作。读者是我们的上帝，作者是我们的朋友，我们作为两者之间的媒介，一直坚持专业化、特色化、精品化的工作思路。至2009年，我们的出版方向已涉及土木建筑类本科及高职高专的教材和教辅、建筑设计、室内设计、工程预算与经营管理、市政工程与城市建设、城市规划与园林景观、建筑施工与设备安装、建筑执业资格考试、平面设计等多个细分领域，年出书400余种，快速化及规模化的发展令业界惊叹。我社在建筑领域的整体出版实力已居全国前列。

　　The Architecture Branch of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press was found in 2005, which specializes in the publishing of architectural books. As the medium between readers who are our Gods and authors who are our friends, the press adores the value of specialization, characterization and ingeniousness. Until now, the press has involved in many publishing aspects, including textbooks and reference books for undergraduates and vocational college students major in civil engineering and architecture, and books for architectural design, interior design, engineering budget and management, municipal projects and city construction, city planning and landscape design, building construction and equipment installment, architectural practice qualification tests and graphic design, etc. The press publishes more than 400 kinds of books per year, whose developmental speed and scale astonish the whole publishing industry. The power of the branch has made it one of the leading publishers in the architectural field in China.

With the increase of variety of books with regard to interior design, architecture design and landscape design, the book quality has gained more and more approval from people in the same industry and some books have been released to many other areas such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and countries such as Korea, Singapore, India, Egypt, Spain, German and America, etc.

　　在版权合作方面，建筑分社已经与西班牙、德国、瑞士、意大利、法国、英国、美国、日本等国家的出版机构建立联系。分社在引进高质量出版物的同时，也将我社的优秀建筑图书推介到世界各地，为世界各国之间的经济文化交流做出自己的贡献。我分社大部分画册类图书都采用中英文对照的版式设计，既与国际图书市场接轨，也便于图书在国内市场的发行。室内设计、建筑设计、景观设计、园林植物、建筑文化等类别的图书的版权输出工作也已先后开展起来。

　　As to the copyright cooperation, the Architecture Branch has established close ties with publishing houses from Spain, German, Switzerland, Italy, France, Britain, America, Japan, etc. While introducing high-quality books from abroad, the branch promotes and popularizes excellent architectural books to the whole world, making great contributions to the international cultural and economic communication. Most of the illustrated books are designed with both Chinese and English version to make them accessible to the international book market as well as convenient for the distribution at home. The branch has also started the work of exporting copyrights of books involving interior design, architectural design, landscape design, garden plants, architectural culture, etc.
